In our ongoing effort to spend as much time possible writing, talking and chatting about Punknews rather than really writing stuff there, Adam and I are offering up sweet meta-commentary on the news we (well, someone) posts.

• Big D finally got the go-ahead to “officialize” their signing with SideOneDummy. Good for them. My internet ska-nerd alarm went off when I saw that Joe Gittleman was producing their album. Talk about a ska-gasm. A certain rotund label will be kicking themselves soon.
• Toby done good with his signing of the Copyrights. Good job. Now sign a band that doesn’t worship at the altar of the Weasel. And more that tour.
• ATTN: Douchebags
  We’ll post about bands breaking up that you’ve never heard of. Deal with it. Especially when said douchebags work at publicity groups, you should know better than to throw stones in glass houses.
• Speaking of breakups… Sonofabitch! They weren’t magnificent or lifechanging but definitely a ton of fun. Bummer
• Throwdown’s comment about their new album: “Well I’ve got this one riff that’s pretty sweet.” I can’t even try to make this shit up.
• Have I said enough good things about the Gaslight Anthem? Probably not. Their new album’s done, I hope its as good as the demos.
• Hey Jason, just tell everyone that NMB is done already, okay?
