pittsburgh to philadelphia

Sitting in the airport, waiting for my plane. Why do I have time to be typing this? Because I’m early. I mean like, it’s 12:45, and my plane boards at 3:20 and we leave at 3:50 early. And I’m in Pittsburgh. Contrary to popular belief, Pittsburgh is not close to where I live in WV. In fact, it’s about 3 and a half hours away. However, Forrest goes to school near here, so we assumed that he would need a ride back, but of course he got a ride back without telling us. I’m not mad, just a bit frustrated. The vacation at home was really fun. I got to relax, help build Mom’s new working area/office-space that Travis designed, and grab some stuff like my DVDs to take back with me. I got to take care of some mixups with the awards for the NJPJIRG 30th anniversary party, and talk to Jenn on the phone. I saw like 4 people I wasn’t related to all weekend. No WV jokes, please. I wish I had more time, and that I didn’t have to cut my Sunday short. I am looking forward to getting back to New Jersey though. I never thought I would have said that. I really like it there. South Jersey is quite nice, and I wish more people would come visit me. Erin did, and we had fun. Maybe in the next few months, I’ll have some more visitors. As for my current surroundings, the airport is an interesting place. Definitely the wide range of people that you’d expect. Including, but not limited to, the hat wearing sporty sorority girl, the deceptively stupid looking guy in a superman shirt studying American law, the girl who appears to have a Denison Nalgene bottle with her, the polo shirted jerk with a tight red knit cap, your classic frat-ish introvert playing a game on his phone, and the large jackass on his cell phone who is bragging to all his dorktacular friends about his ability to get bumped repeatedly and receive free flights from the company, all while using words like “indeed” way too much, which only do more to liken him to the comic book nerd from the Simpsons. Not that he’s annoying as hell, I just notice these things. The interesting part is that the only two people working on their laptops are sitting right beside each other. Dorks of a feather, and all that. Right now I wish I had just driven back. Gah. I talked to KELLY MCKAY last night (or the night before?) on IM. That was nice. She’s happily educating away down in Texas, and of course, she wants me to come join her. It’s a tempting offer, I’ll be honest. It’s doing the same thing that we did together senior year in our capstone class. However, Texas is less desirable to me than New Jersey right now, and location is something I am concerned about. I have to start figuring out what’s going on next year. The future is uncertain, and I can’t really afford to leave it to chance. Who knows what will happen? It’s time to do something other than sit here and type. I’ve been here for 30 minutes, and this is what I’ve written, maybe something more later, but I’m done for now.
