My iBook is going back to
the motherland for repairs. His poor Firewire ports are broken. And there’s a video cable that makes the screen go dark every once in a while. It’ll be okay little fella.
I have to remember to get all my addresses, email, etc off of here or else I may lose it. That would be quite sucky. I have to say, this little bastard has been one of the best investments ever. If you’re in the market for a computer, even if it’s not a laptop, check out Apple’s lineup of portables. It’s their strongest suit right now, with actual diversity across it’s ranks, as opposed to Apple’s usual high-end/low-end dichotomy. The sweet spot is definitely the 12.1″ G4 iBook. Maybe the 12.1″ Powerbook, but most people don’t need the small additions that the Powerbook offers.
I am secretly hoping that they’ll replace my aging 700mhz G3 12.1″ with an 800mhz G4 12.1″ model. That would be nice. Very nice. However, if it comes back working properly, I’ll be happy as well.
