One Reason play a style of raw punk akin to Against Me!’s harder moments, including their gang vocals, positive energy, and anarchist leanings. It’s intense without being overwraught, intimate without feeling forced, and inventive without being unfamiliar. The Black and the Red is a song that I have been completely unable to get out of my head lately. These lyrics are just freaking awesome.
