Some plans I’ve been working on…
Part of my Americorps service is to do a Community Development Project. Basically the goal of it is to engage the community that we live in some sort of citizen outreach. It involves recruiting volunteers, doing good, etc. For my project I’ve chosen to do a benefit concert for the San Francisco Food Bank. I want to get people to come out and do volunteer shifts at the foodbank, instead of just doing the normal canned food donations. It’s ambitious, but that’s what I love.
So far, I’ve gotten Mike Park signed on, I’m talking with Against Me!, and last night, Steve Borth of Satori and The RX Bandits said that he and his bands were down with playing. I think I’m going to pee myself.
