Hi. My names Kim and I run an org. called punxfordean.org. We’re hoping you take an interest in what were doing. Rather than ramble on about who we are..you can go to http://www.punxfordean.org to find out more..
We’re not professionals, not attached to a label, not hired by the campaign, etc. This is a non profit revolution.
We’re writing you in the hopes of getting major bands for our upcoming shows.
Here’s the order of things for us
1) getting our name out in every which way possible. more flyering, advertising, email blasts, etc.
2)FIRST SHOW- a National sort of meetup day for Dean.. It will mean each band in every major US city booking their OWN show in their city on the same night (not yet known).. We will be contacting the campaign and media as well. A National Punks Night for Dean, to sort of announce our arrival if you will..
It has to be on the same night and in every major us city.We are in the
process of getting all the bands (still trying to gather more from each US City major ones anyway) and getting their commitment. We are also in the process of trying to make our DVD / Video. ( The Adicts Viva la Revolution playing through Clips of Bu$h and Dean Clips)
This video will be mailed to each band and they can play it that night if they so desire. then…
HERES WHERE WE NEED YOU
3) then after the above.. Traveling Punks for Dean Tours begin. We will start here in Southern California (CSUSB probably) and work our way across the country. We will have one or two bands that travel the duration and the rest will be picked up in each state. We want to offer this exposure to local bands everywhere…All day festival with voter registration tables, merchandise, food and info on Dean.
We are doing this on near zero dollars, I’m an ebay powerseller (which means next to nothing) and thats it. and the DFA Campaign is near broke,.so you can imagine! ha
It is taking alot more resources and contacts to get it all done.We so much appreciate your input and help on this. Any ideas and any info you have is HIGHLY appreciated. I’m not a professional, just a well versed punk , so I don’t know how this booking agent/major label stuff goes. I just know were doing it and we need support from our scene.
